Metal Bladed Weapons

Removal of Flexi-daggers - January 2024: Flexi-daggers were removed from the list of allowed blades as part of the risk mitigation for implementing reduced armor on limbs and back of head. Flexi-dagger blades have a cross-section smaller than a foil, so posed too great a risk with reduced armor as the standard.

Spears

Removal of metal-headed spears - 31 Dec 2021: Metal-headed spears were no longer not permitted for fencing combat after 31 December 2021. Only rubber-headed spears may be used.
